If you are on the Voters List, you can vote.

Confirm that you are on the Voters List

If you are on the Voters List, you can vote. After an election is called, look for a Notice of Registration Card in your mail, which confirms that you are on the Voters List.

If you are on the Voters List, we’ll mail you a Notice of Registration Card shortly after the election is called. Your Card will list your voting location for election day, plus the dates, times and places of your advance polling locations.

Please remember to bring your Notice of Registration Card with you when you go to vote.

How to vote if you're not on the Voters List

Your name may not be on the Voters List, but this will not prevent you from voting if you are an eligible elector.

There are two ways to get on the Voters List. You can get a Certificate to Vote or add your name to the Voters List at your voting location on election day.

Add Your Name on Election Day

On election day, you can go to your voting location and show proof of name and residence on one identification document (436KB PDF) and complete the appropriate form. Then, you will be added to the Voters List.

Getting Your Certificate to Vote

Before election day you can receive a Certificate to Vote up until 8:00 PM local time the day before the election. You will need to show proof of name and residence on one identification document (436KB PDF).

You can get a Certificate to Vote at your local returning office or Advance Poll location. When you go to vote, you will exchange your Certificate to Vote for a ballot at your voting location.
