Information for Third-Party Advertisers
Promoting or advertising a political party or candidate through political advertising.
Registration and financial reporting
Third-party election advertising is political advertising which promotes or opposes a political party or the election of a candidate during an election.
If you engage in third-party advertising and spend $500 or more, it is important that you fully understand the registration and reporting requirements. You must register with the Chief Electoral Officer, display authorization on all election period advertising, and subsequently file a report that discloses all advertising spending and the identity of contributors who have donated more than $100.
The Election Finances section on our main website will provide you with information on the rules and reporting requirements of third-party advertisers.
