Financial Statements and Contributions

Important dates for filing financial statements and lists of contributors.

Election Finance Act requirements

All registered political parties and constituency associations file annual audited financial statements and a list of contributors whose aggregate contributions are greater than $100 by May 31st of the following year.

All registered political parties, constituency associations, and candidates file audited campaign period financial statement(s) and a list of contributors whose aggregate contributions are greater than $100 within 6 months of polling day.

All registered third parties file an election advertising report within 6 months after polling day.

All registered leadership contestants file an audited financial statement and a list of contributors whose aggregate contributions are greater than $100:

  1. Within 6 months after the date of the leadership vote for the period that begins on the date of the official call for the leadership contest and ends 2 months after the date of the leadership vote.
  2. Within 20 months after the date of the leadership vote for the 12-month period that begins 2 months after the date of the leadership vote.
